I’m a fan of this black Strington coffee table for its clean lines and mixed-material top - the contrast between the marble-look surface and glass gives a refined yet relaxed feel. Its open metal frame keeps the room feeling spacious, so it works well in minimalist, industrial or monochrome schemes, and equally as a sophisticated anchor in a softer Scandi setting. For styling, try grouping a low tray with a couple of design books and a small plant on the marble side to create a focal point, while keeping the glass section clear to show off the airy frame. Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.

A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
