String cabinet with sliding doors fits all wire panels from String System and String Plex if the depth of the panels is 30 cm. Add extra storage to you space with this stylish cabinet. The cabinet was designed by Nisse and Kajsa Strinning in 1949.

I’m a big fan of this slim beige sliding-door cabinet because its clean lines and muted colour slot straight into Scandi, Japandi or contemporary living spaces without overwhelming the room. Its shallow depth makes it ideal for narrow hallways or low-profile TV walls, and the sliding doors are a clever way to conceal whatever you don’t want on show - think paperwork, extra crockery or gaming kit.
Styling-wise, treat the top like a mini sideboard: group a pair of vases with a sculptural object at one end, and balance with a small lamp or framed print at the other. Inside, use matching baskets or boxes to keep bits organised, and consider a slim LED strip for a subtle display glow. The neutral hue lets you play with texture - add a woven tray or a marble coaster to give the overall look depth.
