Originally designed in 1949 by architects Nisse and Kajsa Strinning for Bonnier's public library, the String Shelving System by String Furniture offers limitless possibilities for your home, including the configurable Living Room B system. A modular system with multiple combinations fitting seamlessly together to fit your space, String Shelving is still crafted in Sweden to this day, using a distinctive runged powder-coated steel wall panel and slotting shelves. The Living Room B unit also offers wall-hung shelves with a high edge to keep your books and ornaments safe and add character to the simple design. A popular shelving system in mid-century Sweden, the String System is now renowned all over the world for its Scandinavian style, functionality and versatility. Winner of the German Design Award 2016, gold medal winner at the Milan Triennale 1954, and winner of the Good Design Long Life Award 2020, the String System has proved itself to truly stand the test of time.
