I’m a fan of this Stretton bookcase for its clean lines, sturdy metal frame and warm rustic-oak finish - it sits neatly in both industrial-style lofts and Scandi-inspired living rooms. The mix of open shelves and concealed storage makes it easy to keep clutter out of sight: display your favourite reads, a couple of vintage frames or a sculptural vase on the top tiers, then hide paperwork or extra cushions behind the doors below. To style it, group books in small stacks, alternate horizontal and vertical arrangements and tuck in woven baskets for a bit of texture.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
