I’d reach for the Stretton chest in any space that needs a bit of warmth and industrial edge - you get the character of reclaimed oak with slim black legs that keeps the look light. It sits neatly in a hallway or bedroom, pairing easily with metal-framed mirrors or simple table lamps. To style it, I’d stack a couple of coffee-table books, add a low plant in a matt ceramic pot and hang a graphic print just above, so the chest becomes both a practical storage unit and a styling platform.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
