Description

The Stratus outdoor wall light is a brilliant addition to any home’s outdoor arrangements, giving practical illumination and a simple, stylish look to the household’s exterior. With an IP44 rating, this fitting is capable of withstanding outside conditions, whilst the single light within the black box design lights up the surrounding space effectively – this is useful when placed next to a doorway or patio, helping you to navigate around your home in the dark with ease!.

Our Stylist Says

I really like the Stratus outdoor wall light for its clean, modern aesthetic and versatility. Its sleek black finish makes it an adaptable choice that complements contemporary, industrial, or minimalist exteriors perfectly. This fitting works well against brick, timber, or painted facades, and can be used to create both functional illumination and visual interest near entrances or outdoor seating areas. Practical styling tips include pairing it with matching black fixtures for a cohesive look, or balancing it with warm-toned lighting elsewhere for contrast. Its simple design ensures it won’t overpower other design elements and remains timeless, making it a smart addition to most outdoor spaces.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
