The levitation of the ball is made possible by an innovative magnetic technology built into the dial. It can levitate in different ways, depending on the position of the clock: horizontally, vertically or at an angle of 60°. For time to start its onward march, you need to give it an initial push by hand. This technological gem is no ordinary clock and, besides its fun, magical design, it has several unexpected functions. With the Flyte application working in tandem with Story, you can set three different modes which allow you to customise the ball's movements around its orbit: - The travel mode, which lets you start a countdown before beginning a most eagerly awaited event: moving to your new home, the birth of a child, the marathon you want to prepare for, your next holiday. - The timer mode, because Story also works to help you with your daily time management. Use this mode to schedule your next meeting at the office, an important appointment or for cooking a meal. - Clock mode, which offers a surprising way to mark the passing of time, with its chrome ball indicating the hour. In addition, if it’s difficult to read the time without hands, Story has a digital LED display showing the time and date through the dial. This LED screen can stay permanently on or off, or activate it with a simple movement. The features of this fabulous clock don’t stop here! It also has an ultra-sophisticated backlight system that’s very easy to operate. Connect Story to the cloud to use the mobile app to get weather data in real time. Thanks to an impressive play of light, this backlighting system lets you display the temperature, indicate the sunrise and sunset and even imitate the different lunar phases. The Story clock was designed by Simon Morris, a Swedish fan of the phenomenon of levitation. He wanted his futuristic object to be eco-responsible as well: Story is made in Sweden with certified sustainable wood.
