It's crafted into an industrial design, merging chestnut brown and black tones in a stripped back and exposed aesthetic, so it can proudly in your home by itself or even combined with other style furnishings. On the top, there are three open shelves, giving you plenty of room to display your ornaments with pride, whilst a large cupboard sits on the bottom for concealed storage protected by the two front doors. The frame is made from metal, with particleboard shelves, so the unit is solid and durable.

I’m a fan of this brown-and-black shelving unit because its metal frame and wood-effect panels give a clean, industrial touch without feeling heavy. It works equally well in a living room as a drinks station, in a home office for books and supplies, or even in a hallway for shoes and scarves. The lower cupboard is perfect for concealing clutter, while the open shelves invite a mix of hardback books, potted plants and small sculptures.
To style it, vary the heights of your objects and group items in threes for visual balance. Use baskets or boxes on the bottom shelf to keep small bits organised, and leave a little breathing room around each object so it doesn’t look overcrowded.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
