Behind the two doors, you’ll find three internal shelves—two of which are adjustable to three different heights—and one fixed shelf, offering flexible storage for shoes and accessories. A central open compartment allows quick access to frequently used items, while a single wooden-front drawer with smooth metal runners provides concealed storage for smaller essentials like keys, gloves, or shoe care tools. Constructed from MDF/fiberboard with a light oak finish and supported by sturdy black powder-coated steel legs, this bench is both stable and stylish. Ideal for hallways, porches, living rooms, or bedrooms, it helps keep entryways tidy by hiding clutter while complementing a range of interior styles. Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
