Discover the iconic Zig Zag stool by POLSPOTTEN, revamped by Dutch actress Carice van Houten. Through its assertive colours, this limited-edition collection infuses a dose of optimism, creating a joyful, daring world. Known worldwide for her role as the Red Priestess in the Game of Thrones series, Carice van Houten is a true design enthusiast with a gift for combining patterns and colours in innovative ways. Full of pink and purple, her eclectic, ultra-colourful family home has featured on the cover of interior design magazines. Carice van Houten has developed a unique colour palette to dress the famous Zig Zag stool. Like a score sheet, she has formulated her own grammar of colour, making sure to shake up all the codes, so that bold colour combinations support each other to produce a harmonious whole. Made of polyester, Zig Zag is the result of remarkable craftsmanship: in total, 12 layers of lacquer are applied to the product to produce extreme shine. Between each layer, the stool is dried and hand-polished. This method requires great expertise and lots of patience: making a stool requires roughly 90 days of work. Behind each stool, you can sense the hand of the craftsman: so each piece is unique! With its original sculptural outline and range of dazzling colours, this vibrant stool will really spruce up your décor.
