Description

Designed to combine convenient storage and lounge spaces, this safe and sturdy bed from Stompa is a space-saving solution for their bedroom. Built to support a continental extra long single mattress (W90 x L200cm), it features solid wooden slats and an attractive rounded headboad that's available in a choice of white and grey colourways. The ladder has been ergonomically designed with comfortable treads so that your child can climb easily up and down, whilst cut-out grab handles on either side offer an extra, reassuring layer of safety. Featuring a freestanding double wardrobe that's placed next to a chair bed, they have a cosy seat during the day, where by night it can transform into a pull-out bed, ideal for when they have friends over to stay. The solid wood slat system allows for easy extension, and together with the hinged foam cushion seat, it enables a comfortable sleeping surface. Choose from grey or aqua cushions. Our Stylist Says

I love this bunks’ versatility-it’s perfect for both compact spaces and rooms that need clever storage solutions. The high-sleeper design maximises floor space, making it ideal for multifunctional rooms. It works well in modern, Scandi, or minimalist interiors thanks to its clean lines and neutral colour, but can easily be styled in more playful or eclectic settings with colourful bedding, cushions, or wall decals. Practical tips include using under-bed areas for additional storage or a cosy reading nook, and pairing it with simple, streamlined furniture to keep the room feeling open and uncluttered. This bunk is both functional and adaptable, making it a practical centrepiece for a child’s bedroom.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
