Description

Combining functionality and comfort, this safe and study bed from Stompa is a favourite for little ones. Crafted from pine and MDF and designed for an extra long single mattress (W90 x L200cm) it features solid wooden slats and an attractive rounded headboard that's available in a choice of white and grey colourways. The ladder has been ergonomically designed with comfortable treads so that your child can climb easily up and down, whilst cut-out grab handles on either side offer an extra, reassuring layer of safety. Featuring a pull-out desk that has been designed with castors for ease of use, it boasts additional storage space with four cube cubbyholes, ideal for displaying books, games and craft materials. By night, transform it into a comfortable pull-out bed, ideal for when they have friends over to stay. The solid wood slat system allows for easy extension, and together with the hinged foam cushion seat, it enables a comfortable sleeping surface. Choose from grey or aqua cushions. Boasting a white laquered finish and feature design elements, this is a brilliant, space-saving solution for their bedroom. This bed takes a continental single mattress, available to purchase separately. Stompa has been manufacturing safe furniture for active children for over half a century. Their furniture is functional and competitively priced aiming to fulfill all your child`s needs. Whether it`s a place to sleep, play, do homework or use their computer, Stompa provide storage and seating solutions that easily convert to an extra bed for sleepovers as well as a range of coordinating accessories. Our children's furniture ranges pass all British Standards safety and quality. We go beyond the legal requirements when we design our furniture, so that you and your child can both sleep soundly. Our Stylist Says

I love the Uno high-sleeper for its compact, all-in-one design - a bed, workspace and sofa that slot neatly into smaller rooms. Its matt-white finish suits modern, Scandinavian or minimalist interiors; simply add a bright rug and a couple of cushions in your chosen accent hue to lift the look. For practical styling, use slim storage boxes on the metal desk shelves, fit an adjustable task lamp under the bed frame and hang a peg rail nearby for coats or artwork. This setup works equally well in a teen’s bedroom or a multi-purpose guest/study space.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
