Description

This cleverly designed detachable bunk bed set can be split into two single beds, helping you re-organise their room as they grow up. Made from pine and MDF, this safe and sturdy bed features solid wooden slats. The ladder has been designed with flat steps so that your child can climb easily and safely up and down. The bottom bunk has a very generous headroom clearance for you to read to your little one at story time (97.5 cm slat to slat). Its white lacquered finish make this piece a versatile option for adding a touch of space-saving fun to their room. Ladder can be positioned either side of the bed. Top bunk not recommended for children under the age of 6 years. This bed takes two continental single mattresses (W90 x L200cm), available to purchase separately. Mattress should not exceed a depth of 15cm on the top bunk. Stompa has been manufacturing safe furniture for active children for over half a century. Their furniture is functional and competitively priced aiming to fulfill all your child`s needs. Whether it`s a place to sleep, play, do homework or use their computer, Stompa provide storage and seating solutions that easily convert to an extra bed for sleepovers as well as a range of coordinating accessories. Our children's furniture ranges pass all British Standards safety and quality. We go beyond the legal requirements when we design our furniture, so that you and your child can both sleep soundly. Please note: not all our ranges are on display in our shops.

Our Stylist Says

I’m really taken with the Stompa bunk for its clever use of vertical space and solid, clean-lined frame - it feels both sturdy and unfussy. It works equally well in a Scandi-inspired scheme (think muted tones, natural textures) or a coastal playroom (pops of navy and stripes). To style it, add a set of under-bed storage boxes for toys or spare bedding, clip on a flexible reading light at the top bunk, and layer in colourful cushions or a bold throw at the foot of each mattress. That way you get maximum practicality without sacrificing personality.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
