Description

Sleep, store and study in the space of just one bed! The ultimate space saver, this mid-sleeper has a pull out desk and a 3 drawer chest. It can easily be adapted to suit a boy's or a girl's bedroom and is great for homework and hobbies. It features an attractive tongue and groove effect in the headboards and footboards. The neat fitted appearance of this bed conceals a useful storage area under the bed for bulky things such as suitcases or maybe even just lots of pillows for a secret den area. Built to last, the bedframe is produced in solid pine and MDF featuring solid pine slats, ensuring sturdy, long-lasting quality. The pull-out desk and 3 drawer chest are produced from hardwearing MDF. This classic mid-sleeper bed takes a standard UK single mattress(maximum depth 15.5cm)

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of this Stompa mid-sleeper for its clever use of space - the pull-out desk tucks away neatly, and the three drawers keep clutter at bay. It works equally well in a contemporary scheme with crisp whites and greys, or in a more playful setting with bold accent colours. For styling, add a couple of streamlined wall shelves above the bed for books or photo frames, and use woven baskets in the open cubby for toys or stationery. A simple desk lamp and a small pinboard will turn the pull-out unit into a productive homework zone without overwhelming the room.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
