Description

Maximise your space with this mid-sleeper bed frame with a pull-out desk. The desk creates a great workspace for homework and hobbies while the neat fitted appearance of this bed conceals a useful storage area under the bed for bulky things such as suitcases or maybe even just lots of pillows for a secret den area. It features an attractive tongue and groove effect in the headboards and footboards with an overall neutral appeal that can work for either boy or girl. This classic mid-sleeper bed takes a standard UK single mattress(maximum depth 15.5cm). Built to last a lifetime, the bedframe is produced in solid pine and MDF featuring solid pine slats, ensuring sturdy, long-lasting quality. The pull-out desk is produced from hardwearing MDF.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of this mid sleeper for its clever use of vertical space and the built-in pull-out desk that tucks away when not in use. The crisp white finish suits both contemporary and Scandi-inspired rooms, and its simple lines mean it won’t compete with bolder wall colours or patterned textiles. To style it, keep desk accessories minimal - a sleek lamp and a couple of storage boxes will maintain an uncluttered look. Add a textured throw or a pop of colour with cushions on the mattress to soften the frame. Finish with a spot of greenery on an adjacent shelf or windowsill to bring the scheme to life.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
