This weather-resistant steel crossed base can be fixed permanently to the ground and can also be used with weights as an alternative to our 90kg bases. Suitable for use with any Challenger, Falcon, Solarflex and Deltawing Parasols. The plastic containers can be filled with water or sand and affixed to our Steel Cross Base to anchor any parasol of your choice that is suitable for a 90 KG base. NB - When a segment is filled with water only it weighs 16kg (64kg in total). When a segment is filled with sand it weighs approx 20kg (80kg in total). Therefore, for our Larger Parasols, we recommend the Sand option. Enhance the stability of your outdoor umbrella with our Steel Parasol Cross Base. Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
