Description

The new Steel Diner Easyfit Shade blends the lines between refined industrial design and modern styling, with a beautiful, smooth white shade that looks perfect hung above any kitchen island or breakfast bar. The white finish lets off a modern, contemporary look, opening up any space while the light within practically illuminates all surrounding areas with an efficient glow, perfect for task lighting.

Our Stylist Says

I really like the Steel Diner Easyfit Shade for its clean, minimalist look and versatile appeal. Its simple white finish and understated design make it a great choice for a range of interiors, from modern and Scandi-inspired spaces to industrial settings. It's especially effective in kitchens or dining areas where you want a practical lighting solution without distracting from the overall decor. Style tips include hanging it at a slightly lower height over a dining table or kitchen island to create a functional focal point, and pairing it with other neutral or textured elements to keep the look cohesive. Its straightforward design means it can easily complement both contemporary and pared-back vintage interiors, making it a practical yet stylish addition.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
