Description

Get the refined industrial look for your lighting with the new Steel Diner Easyfit Shade. Finished in Navy, this industrial-inspired piece has a modern twist, with a unique, curved body that blends the styles perfectly to create a wonderful accent piece, perfect for any kitchen island or breakfast bar. The navy tone has a deeper appearance, complimenting the warm light beautifully as it projects a practical light through the surrounding area.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Steel Diner Easyfit Shade in navy for its modern, industrial appeal that adds a touch of colour without overwhelming a space. It’s a versatile piece that works well in contemporary or minimalist interiors, particularly in kitchens, dining areas, or home offices where you want a statement light without fuss. Practical styling tips include pairing it with exposed fixtures or keeping surroundings neutral to let the shade stand out, or contrasting it with warm wood tones for a more eclectic look. Its straightforward design also makes it a great choice for spaces that benefit from an understated yet bold lighting fixture.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
