Description
An industrial-style design icon for your terraces and gardens ! Stainless steel is ideal for outdoor use: it offers excellent corrosion protection, even in harsh environments (seafront, swimming pool etc...). Since the A chair was designed in 1927 by Xavier Pauchard it has enjoyed worldwide success and although the design has often been imitated it has never been surpassed! Although it now forms part of the collections at the VITRA MUSEUM, MOMA, POMPIDOU centre and the VILLA SAVOYE, designed by the renowned architect LE CORBUSIER, back in 1935, the A chair was used to furnish the "Normandie" ocean liner; it also lined café terraces, equipped hospitals and was used by the American army and public bodies before finding its way into domestic settings. The A Chair is still made by hand in Tolix's Burgundy factory and remains a design icon. This OUTDOOR version in stainless steel is weatherproof and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
