TIPTOE has joined forces with Archives Yves Klein to create an exclusive collection of limited-edition pieces. The pieces are stamped and screen-printed in Klein Blue. This collaboration celebrates the 95th birthday of French artist Yves Klein. A major artist of the 20th Century, Yves Klein has made his mark on history with a material-colour that has become legendary: An ultramarine blue of incomparable intensity which is, according to the artist, "the most perfect expression of blue" and which he uses as a vehicle for his quest for infinity and immateriality. This inventions, which he named "IKB" (International Klein Blue) characterises many of his pieces, including his monochrome work. To showcase this legendary blue, TIPTOE has spent many months working tirelessly to formulate a colour that does justice to the intensity of Yves Klein's blue, which required countless tests in order to get just the right formulation. Combining a solid, powder-coated steel base with a solid oak seat, the Lou stool is a piece of furniture with an irreproachable finish, designed to last and withstand the test of time. Lou can be used as a stool, bedside table or small side table. The LOU stool is made with care in stand-out family workshops in France and Europe. The oak seats are machined in Brittany and sanded by hand for a truly unique finish to each part. The wood comes from sustainably managed forests. Delivered disassembled in flat packaging, the Lou stool can be assembled in less than 2 minutes. Fun, tool-free assembly: the steel legs fit directly into the wooden seat and are fastened with three screws. LOU combines smart design, easy installation and resistance to the passage of time that are at the heart of TIPTOE’s DNA. The LOU stool is stackable and 100% European-made.
