Description
This lamp, created by the famous Israeli designer Arik Levy, boasts a surprising mixture of materials and styles. The threadlike, floaty sphere crafted from bamboo twigs is handcrafted, in a reinterpretation of the traditional weaving technique but in a more contemporary spirit. The geometric shape and modern colours lend a decidedly modern feel. The bamboo sphere rests on an elegant coppered metal base that has a retro-style dimmer. The lampshade offers a balanced, harmonious volume of a surprising mathematical nature. Sphere offers a graphic effect, evoking the path of an object orbiting around a star. The light filters through a multitude of bamboo twigs, projecting delicate, dancing shadows over the walls.
