The Sphera mirror collection by Jean-Baptiste Fastrez is a contemporary interpretation of a technical device for creating mirrored walls. Very fashionable in the first half of the 20th century, the mirror clip has since been reduced to its sole function and today is no more than a fixture sold in the bathroom section of DIY stores. The Sphera mirror system sets out to reconnect with the decorative tradition of this invisible technical element by giving it an unexpected sculptural dimension and extraordinary flexibility. These chrome zamak spheres serve to attach the mirror to the wall while being a distinctive design element. A graduate of Ensci (National School for Industrial Creation), Jean-Baptiste Fastrez took his first steps under the direction of François Azambourg, then the Bouroullec brothers. Since then, he has ploughed his own furrow: hybrid and ultra-creative!
I love the Sphera Crystal Palace L Wall Mirror for its contemporary take on the classic full-length mirror. Its sleek silver frame and the distinctive ball details give it a modern, slightly glamorous vibe that works well in minimalistic or upscale interiors. It’s a versatile piece that can add a stylish statement in bedrooms, dressing areas, or even modern dressing rooms. For styling, consider using it as a focal point above a console or sideboard, pairing it with metallic accessories to enhance its reflective qualities. Its size and design make it perfect for creating a sense of space and light, especially in smaller rooms or narrow hallways.
