Designed in 1979 by Italian architect Giandomenico Belotti (1922 - 2004), the Spaghetti chair is internationally acclaimed and is part of the permanent collections of prestigious museums such as MoMA in New York and the Triennale Design Museum in Milan, attesting to its importance in the history of modern design. Spaghetti has a tubular steel structure. On this version, the PVC wire, a distinctive feature of the Spaghetti collection, is replaced by luxurious saddle leather. Despite its apparently playful name, this chair embodies the essence of Belotti's Italian rationalism, a symbol of excellence and innovation. It respects traditional Italian craftsmanship, but also expresses avant-garde work in terms of structures, treatment of forms and use of materials. With all its simplicity, the Spaghetti Chair is one of the objects that have defined the history and culture of design. In 1979, when Alias launched production of the Spaghetti Chair, Giandomenico Belotti continued to perfect it: he made the backrest crosspiece less curved, added small Rubber caps to the upper ends of the stiles, moved the central crosspiece to the base and optimized the materials of the seat and backrest. These constant, meticulous improvements have made the Spaghetti Chair an emblem of contemporary industrial design. Timeless, the Spaghetti Chair adapts to a multitude of contexts and environments. Its timeless design and quality craftsmanship make it a popular choice for those seeking a seating solution that combines aesthetics and durability. This Spaghetti chair is ideal for contemporary living spaces, desks or public environments.
