A futuristic shape for this mysterious object with a reflective finish: is it a lamp, is it a mirror? Created by Dutch designer Ward Wijnant, the Space lamp offers a surprising optical effect: the curved PMMA structure totally changes its appearance when the light is on! When the light is off, the opaque, reflective structure reflects its surroundings like a mirror. Once lit, the structure becomes translucent and lets you glimpse the inside of the lamp as if by magic: 5 frosted glass bulbs perched on a fun, white and blue striped base. When the light is on, the exposed bulbs seem to reflect endlessly in the multiple reflective facets, creating a mesmerising kaleidoscopic effect. Surprising and innovative, Space opens a dreamlike window onto another dimension. The Space lamp is equipped with a dimmer with an innovative special "dim-to-disco" function: get ready to move and groove, with a wide spectrum of colours. The base of the lamp is made of black wood. The creations of designer Ward Wijnant are experimental, artisanal and contemporary. The Space table lamp is his first creation for the famous Moooi label.
