Price History

Description

In a warm antique brass finish, our Soni Floor Lamp would be a great addition to any living room or dining room and creates lovely ambient light throughout your home. The alabaster shades combined with the traditional style of the lamp means that this design will never date and would look fantastic paired with the Soni Ceiling Flush Light to create flow throughout your interior.

Our Stylist Says

I love this stem floor lamp for its sleek, vintage-inspired design in antique brass, which adds warmth and sophistication to a variety of interiors. It works particularly well in contemporary, mid-century modern, or eclectic settings, where its subtle yet elegant curves can serve as a focal point or complement existing decor. Practical styling tips include positioning it next to a reading corner, sofa, or armchair to maximise functionality, while its warm brass finish pairs beautifully with neutral tones or deep colours for an inviting atmosphere. For a polished look, consider pairing it with other brass accents or glass accessories to create a cohesive scheme.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
