Description

Mesa XL from Solo Stove is a tabletop firepit with dual fuel capability and a smokeless design. Mesa XL nests inside its included stainless steel stand and comes with a stainless steel flame ring and a portable nylon carry bag. Unique to this firepit, Mesa comes with a pellet adapter allowing you to burn pellets, Solo Stove Mini Oak Firewood, Solo Stove Mini Beech Wood or traditional hardwood. Smokeless The brand's Signature 360° Airflow super-heats air to burn off smoke before it can get to your clothes and hair. And without that pesky 'post-fire' smell, teary eyes or a game of musical chairs to dodge smoke, you can enjoy ultimate warmth without sacrificing comfort. Portable tabletop design Weighing in at just over 1kg, this tabletop firepit is easy to take with you where it's permitted. Spark up smokeless adventures everywhere you go, whether you're camping, tailgating, partying at the beach or just enjoying your outdoor oasis, pack up your firepit in the included carry case and get moving. Outdoor use only Mesa is for outdoor use only. It's made as a tabletop firepit, sized perfectly for outdoor dining tables and should always be used with its included stand on a stable surface. Even while using the stand, the firepit burns extremely hot, and hot air may gather underneath. Do not use on heat-sensitive materials. Do not ever leave Mesa unattended on or near a combustible surface, even when it's cooling down. Long-lasting 304-grade stainless steel is highly durable, surprisingly lightweight and won't cave under the pressure of an ultra-hot flame. Count on your firepit to hold up to all of your experiences, wherever you take it. It'll last a lifetime and has the warranty to prove it. Care and maintenance Your Solo Stove firepit needs very little maintenance. But if you want to ensure season after season of relaxing evenings around the fire, we suggest you follow these basic care tips. Choose the right wood — Hardwoods, such as oak, pecan, or hickory, and harder softwoods, such as juniper and cedar, are the best fuel for your firepit. These varieties are seasoned, meaning all the moisture has been evaporated. Wet or damp wood will create a smoky flame, as well as make your firepit harder to clean. Be careful when using wood pellets in your firepit, as the pellets can fall into the ash pan and block the airflow to the fire. After use — After your fire has gone out, check to make sure your firepit is cool to the touch. If so, tip the firepit upside down to empty the ashes. If you're unable to tip over your firepit, you can also use a shop vacuum to remove the ash. Then, we recommend you store your firepit in a cool, dry location. Gold and blue 'patina' — It's completely normal for gold and blue hues to emerge on your firepit after a handful of burns. This 'patina' is a badge of honour to how many fires you've enjoyed. The patina is caused by the firepit's 304-grade stainless steel reacting to the intense heat generated inside your firepit, but it doesn't affect its performance. However, if you like to keep your firepit or camp stove as shiny as the first time you took it out of the box, you can polish it up with Bar Keepers Friend cleaning product. Using a damp rag, rub a small amount of Bar Keepers Friend along the outside of your firepit in the direction of the stainless steel's grain.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Solo Stove Mesa XL for its sleek stainless steel finish, which lends a modern, minimalist vibe that works well in contemporary or industrial-inspired interiors. Its compact, table-top size makes it practical for patios, roof terraces, or cosy outdoor spaces, without overwhelming the area. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with natural textures like wood or stone to create a cosy yet modern setting. Placing it alongside outdoor lounge furniture in neutral tones ensures it remains a subtle statement piece, perfect for early evenings or gatherings. Practical styling tips include adding matching accessories such as stainless steel or black accessories to create cohesion, and clustering with ambient lighting for warmth during cooler evenings. Overall, it’s both a functional and aesthetic addition that brings warmth and a focal point to outdoor interiors.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
