Description

Soho 10 Light Pendant, Copper

Our Stylist Says

I love the Soho 10 Light Pendant in copper for its modern yet somewhat industrial feel, making it versatile across various interiors. It works particularly well in contemporary, loft-style spaces, or even in eclectic kitchens and dining rooms, where its warm metallic tones can add a layer of sophistication. For practical styling, consider hanging it over a dining table or in a high-ceilinged hallway to optimise its impact, and pair with understated furniture to keep the focus on the fixture itself. To really make it pop, opt for bulbs with a warm glow, and keep surrounding colours neutral to highlight its sleek copper finish.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
