Description
Maxchips kiln-dried Softwood logs are perfect for open fires, wood burners, chimineas, pizza ovens, fire pits, and campfires. With a moisture content below 20 percent, they come securely packaged in a dump bag on a pallet. These 100 percent natural logs may contain a mix of species with varying log thicknesses. They offer a long, hot burn and produce minimal smoke due to the kiln drying process. Sourced from UK-harvested wood, our Softwood supports FSC sustainable forestry initiatives and come in recyclable boxes.

Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
