Description
Snowball is a modern take on the classic Bauhaus lamp, which illustrates how the futuristic, cubist styles of the interwar period have left their imprint on modern design. The metal rod is topped with a delicate opaline hand-blown glass globe. The roundness of the diffuser balances the strict angles of the base. Snowball's minimalist design beautifully sets the scene for the pure, highly graphic spherical diffuser. Supported by the very thin rod, the luminous globe seems to float like a bubble. This white star spreads a halo of intimate, diffused light. Anything superfluous has been eliminated to keep only what is essential! The young Norwegian designer Trond Svensgard wanted to give the diffuser the shape and size of a snowball to evoke the magic of the snowy landscapes of Scandinavia. With its strong, simple, geometric shapes, this lamp adds a note of timeless elegance to all types of interiors.
