Snakeshead was originally designed by William Morris in 1876. The dramatic flame-like motif and alternating spiky clusters of foliage seem to be held in suspension by the delicate scrolling tendrils that form the pattern's background. Influenced by the colouring and patterns of Indian textiles, this design was one of Morris's favourites, taking its name from the nodding snake head fritillary blooms.100% Polyester. I love these snakeshead jacquard curtains for their rich texture and subtle pattern, which add depth and sophistication to a variety of interiors. They work particularly well in period or traditional settings, but can also bring a vintage charm to eclectic or boho spaces. The pencil pleat style offers versatility in hanging, making them easy to adjust for light control and privacy. For styling tips, pair them with neutral walls and layered textiles to avoid overwhelming the space, or blend with complementary patterns for a more eclectic look. Their tactile fabric and classic design make them a versatile choice that balances aesthetic appeal with everyday practicality.
