Price History

Description

Snakeshead was originally designed by William Morris in 1876. The dramatic flame-like motif and alternating spiky clusters of foliage seem to be held in suspension by the delicate scrolling tendrils that form the pattern's background. Influenced by the colouring and patterns of Indian textiles, this design was one of Morris's favourites, taking its name from the nodding snake head fritillary blooms.100% Polyester. Our Stylist Says

I love these snakeshead jacquard curtains for their rich texture and subtle pattern, which add depth and sophistication to a variety of interiors. They work particularly well in period or traditional settings, but can also bring a vintage charm to eclectic or boho spaces. The pencil pleat style offers versatility in hanging, making them easy to adjust for light control and privacy. For styling tips, pair them with neutral walls and layered textiles to avoid overwhelming the space, or blend with complementary patterns for a more eclectic look. Their tactile fabric and classic design make them a versatile choice that balances aesthetic appeal with everyday practicality.

A Legacy of French Fashion

La Redoute has been around for 180 years. It started as a place that made wool products and grew into a popular online store for home and fashion items from France.

They've always tried to bring the unique French style to everyone and have changed with the times, especially in understanding the changing roles of women. For them, it's not just about selling products; it's about celebrating the art of everyday living and the quintessential French "je ne sais quoi".

Sustainability and Environmental Consciousness

La Redoute's commitment to the environment and sustainability is unwavering. They have taken commendable steps like joining the Better Cotton Initiative and ensuring their paper stock comes from sustainably-managed forests.

As a proud member of the Fur Free Retailer Program, they stand against the use of real fur and certain other materials, showcasing their concern for animal well-being.

Their transportation choices, too, echo their eco-conscious ethos. By using means like barges and trains, they actively reduce CO2 emissions, highlighting their drive to make choices beneficial for the planet.

Championing Social Responsibility

Beyond its fashion-forward vision, La Redoute actively champions societal values. Their signature on the UN's Global Compact underscores their commitment to sustainable development.

They take pride in being accessible to all, with their website catering to both the hearing and visually impaired.
