The PANTHELLA was designed in 1971 by Verner Panton in collaboration with Louis Poulsen. Its exceptional design not only reflects Panton's playful style, but also offers a one of a kind, pleasant light thanks to the organic shapes. The hemispherical shade emits most of the light downwards, where it's reflected by the trumpet-shaped base and bathes the surroundings in a soft, diffuse light. The light source is included and permanently installed. It emits warm white light with low brightness. The light has a sensor on the lamp that allows it to be switched on and off and dimmed in 3 steps. The battery is charged via the supplied micro-USB cable.
I love how the small lamp adds a touch of retro-inspired design with its sleek, rounded shape and rich colour-it's a subtle statement piece. This lamp works particularly well in contemporary or eclectic interiors, where it can be a standout accent on side tables or consoles. For practical styling, try pairing it with minimal furniture to let its design shine or mix it with vintage pieces for a curated look. Its portable nature makes it versatile for cosy reading nooks or even as a bedside light, offering both functionality and style with minimalist charm.
