The Gräshoppa pendant lamp is based on Greta M. Grossman's original lamp design from 1947 and uses the characteristic lampshade that successfully combines lightness and functionality to give a modern and at the same time organic character. The playful design language is characteristic of Grossman's work and runs through her entire collection. Hanging from the ceiling, the lamp brings a modernist style and classic elegance to any interior and is perfect over a kitchen counter or in combination over a dining table. Dimmable in combination with dimmable light source and external dimmer. The pendant lamp is individually height adjustable.
I really like this small pendant lamp, often called the Gräshoppa, because of its sleek, timeless design that works well in both modern and Scandinavian-inspired interiors. Its simple silhouette and muted colour make it versatile enough to hang over kitchen islands, dining tables, or even in a cosy reading nook. When styling, consider grouping multiple pendants at varying heights for added visual interest, or pairing it with matte or textured finishes to create a layered look. Practical tips include ensuring the light is positioned at a height that balances function and aesthetic, avoiding glare in workspaces while offering warm, focused illumination. It’s a great choice for those wanting a clean but distinctive lighting element without overpowering the overall scheme.
