Expertly hand knotted by skilled artisans in India, the contemporary Earth Rug is created using locally sourced hand-spun jute fibre that evokes earthy textures and strips home décor back to the basics. Crafted in an environmentally friendly manner, this rustic rug boasts exceptional insulating and anti-static properties. Founded in 1987 by Nani Marquina, the daughter of pioneering Spanish designer Rafael Marquina, nanimarquina blends contemporary designs with traditional techniques to create unique and eye-catching handcrafted rugs. nanimarquina collaborates with prestigious international designers to design unique rugs and crafts them with particular attention to selecting quality raw materials. Conscious of its societal and environmental impact, nanimarquina places ethics at the forefront of its production process. Passionate about reusing, reducing and recycling, it aims to preserve natural resources through the use of biodegradable and recycled products. It uses an eco-friendly chemical-free washing method that enriches the environment with nitrogen and uses less water than traditional cleaning methods.
