I really rate this slim shoe unit for its neat, space-saving design - it slots perfectly into narrow hallways or snug bedrooms without looking bulky. The white finish with pale wooden handles works a treat in Scandi, contemporary or coastal-inspired schemes, and its flip-down drawers keep shoes tucked out of sight while still easily accessible. To style it, corral your everyday bits on top with a shallow tray for keys and wallets, add a small plant or ceramic pot for texture, then hang a round mirror above to bounce light and create the impression of more space. Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
