A Nordic and natural look for the Slab wooden furniture collection, designed by the British designer, Tom Dixon. A harmonious combination of tradition, modernity and simplicity, the wood adopts shapes that are both solid and plain. The Slab chair is made from solid oak, a study and durable material. The wood is worked, stained, then coated in a transparent lacquer. The grain and veins of the wood are visible, giving a natural and warm look to the material. The curved lines grant this chair softness and fluidity. Tom Dixon on the Slab chair: "When we decided to design a chair which would go with the Slab range, we wanted something humble but with personality, modern but which would give the impression that it had always existed, familiar but unique - and, moreover, stackable and comfortable! So we needed lots of time and it proved to be a very difficult task. But we think that we have solved the problem with this multi-purpose chair which adapts to numerous environments - an honest piece of carpentry. ‘’.
