I’m a fan of this shaker-style single in urban oak for its clean lines and soft wood-grain finish, which work equally well in contemporary Scandi, modern farmhouse or minimal bedrooms. Its slim footprint makes it ideal for smaller spaces, while the neutral tone layers easily with both muted and stronger colour schemes.
For styling, use the open shelves for woven baskets or a neatly folded stack of jumpers, and top the unit with a small plant or ceramic vase to add texture. Inside, uniform wooden hangers and labelled boxes on the top shelf will keep everything organised, and pairing it with other oak-toned or white lacquer pieces will maintain a cohesive look.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
