I’m a fan of this simple pine single bed for its clean lines and warm brown tone. It’s versatile enough for Scandi-minimal schemes as well as more relaxed, rustic looks. The solid pine feels tactile under soft linens and won’t overwhelm a smaller room. For practical styling, layer neutral bedding - think off-white sheets with a pale grey throw - and tuck a jute rug partly under the foot. Keep bedside tables low and streamlined, perhaps in white or pale wood, and add a single statement plant to bring in texture without clutter. A slim wall-mounted lamp rather than a bulky table lamp will keep the look light and airy.

Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores".
