Description

The simplehuman Sensor Mirror lights up automatically as your face approaches. Its tru-lux light system simulates natural sunlight, allowing you to see full colour variation, so you'll know when your makeup is colour-correct and flawless. It also has a candlelight setting, so you can check your look in low light before you go. The touch-control brightness gives you fast, intuitive control over a continuous range of brightness. And unlike traditional makeup vanity mirrors' bulb lighting, the long-lasting LEDs won't burn out or diminish even after years of use. The mirror is cordless and rechargeable with included USB-C cord - one charge lasts up to 5 weeks. 5x magnification is ideal for providing exceptional detail while still allowing you to see your entire face at once. The 10x detail mirror provides an extremely close-up view for detailed work like tweezing and applying eye makeup.

Our Stylist Says

I love this mirror for its sleek, modern design and practical features, making it a great addition to contemporary or minimalist interiors. Its 5x and 10x magnification options are perfect for detailed grooming, ensuring precision without cluttering your space. It works well on dressing tables, in bathrooms, or vanity areas, especially in rooms with neutral or subdued colour palettes; the clean, silver finish complements a range of styles from Scandinavian to industrial. Practical styling tips include pairing it with a simple tray or organiser to keep your essentials close, and placing it on a weighted stand or levelling surface to maintain stability. This mirror’s functionality and understated beauty make it a versatile piece that elevates everyday routines while seamlessly fitting into modern interiors.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
