Description

A multicolour burst, 'One Point Perspective' is by artist Simon C Page. Printed in the UK on 250gsm matt smooth fine art paper with a deep, solid ash frame, hand-stained in black. It's glazed and ready to wall-mount with fittings at the back of the frame. Simon C. Page was born in Cambridgeshire and works from his studio in the beautiful town of Saffron Walden for clients such as The New York Times, Nike and Google. Simon is a self-taught designer and artist who studied Applied Mathematics and his work - with its formulas, keys, instructive text and almost scientific use of colour and pattern - hints at this mathematical background. With a passion for minimalism, combined with a love of typography, geometry, science fiction and exciting use of colour, Simon creates graphic work that is visually arresting and ideally suited to contemporary settings. Always aiming to stimulate the emotions of the viewer, Simon’s philosophy of “good design excites” is at the forefront of his mind when creating new work. Have you thought about wall hooks and fittings?

Our Stylist Says

I love the Simon C Page print for its bold, geometric design that adds a modern edge to any room. It's versatile and works particularly well in contemporary interiors or if you're looking to inject some colour and visual interest into a minimalist space. The vivid palette and the one point perspective make it a focal point, especially when hung above a neutral sofa or against a blank wall. Practical styling tips include pairing it with simple frames or combining it with other abstract pieces for a curated gallery wall. Its large size makes it ideal for spacious living rooms, hallways, or dedicated art areas, where it can truly be appreciated as an eye-catching statement piece.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
