Description

The Simba Hybrid Ultra mattress is designed with 11 layers of high-performance natural materials and the most advanced, signature Simba technology yet. The result is a mattress that offers luxurious, cushioning comfort and tailored pressure relief. It has a medium-to-firm mattress tension rating. Our highest spring count ever With over 7,000 Aerocoil® springs, this mattress contours each body. Made from titanium alloy, each spring individually compresses and responds to your body weight and shape, creating different zones of support where you need it most. There’s also additional layers of micro springs that push cool and fresh air through the mattress as they compress, while also helping to limit the transfer of movement. Edge-to-edge support There’s support throughout this mattress thanks to Simba’s Support. Core™ base. 1,000 pocketed barrel springs help to limit roll-off at the sides so you feel supported from one end of this mattress to the other. Simbatex ® foam With an open structure to encourage airflow, there’s two layers of Simbatex ® foam in this mattress. They’re infused with graphite, which is renowned for its heat dissipation properties and they provide cushioning comfort while helping to keep you cool. Purelift™ flexible support layer PureLift™ is a fusion of elastic latex and breathable coconut fibres, both known for their properties of resistance and bounce. In product testing, this unique blend created an incredible spring-like layer with superb airflow and pressure distribution, designed to adapt to your body shape to provide enhanced and complete support. FusionCool® top layer To create the most comfortable top layer for the Ultra mattress, Simba have combined breathable wool, airy bamboo and charcoal. But the addition of silky-soft kapok, found in the rainforests of South East Asia offers an innovative twist to ensure you stay fresh and dry. Kapok has an air content of 80% and a fine wax coating that makes it moisture-resistant and highly breathable, so the mattress feels more airy and cool. Soft, breathable cover The soft, knitted top layer of this mattress zips off easily so you can remove it, wash it and replace it to keep your sleep space clean. It’s enhanced with 'cool-touch' Stratos® technology for freshness and acts as a protective shield for the inner layers of the mattress. Proudly made in the UK Made in Manchester, with titanium alloy micro springs from Leeds and airy foam layers from Middleton. Try before you buy This is an important purchase and it’s worth trying your new mattress in one of our shops to make sure it's right for you. Our Partners can tell you more about its benefits, and recommend options based on your needs.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
