Description

Calming and stylish, the Silver Cross Alnmouth nursery furniture collection has a washed oak finish for a modern seaside-inspired vibe. Cotbed: The multi-stage cot bed grows with your child, transforming into a toddler bed as they get older. Growing with your child from newborn to toddler stage (approximately 4 years old), the Alnmouth cot bed will suit every stage of your little one’s development with its 3 adjustable base heights. Dresser: Calming and stylish with its washed oak finish and contemporary black handles, this dresser has a modern vibe to suit any home. It has plenty of storage, with an integrated changer top for nappy changes. The Alnmouth dresser has 3 deep, soft-close drawers with plenty of storage for keeping all of the baby's essentials neatly stored and the integrated changer top provides a handy spot for nappy changes. Wardrobe: The full-size wardrobe has lots of storage space for those nursery essentials. Alnmouth's full-size wardrobe includes a twin hanging rail with plenty of room for baby's clothes and spacious shelving provides space for keeping other essentials tidy. The stylish, washed oak finish double doors are complemented by contemporary black handles, and the soft-close doors mean there are minimal disturbances during the day and night.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Silver Cross Alnmouth set for its versatile and timeless washed oak finish, which lends itself well to a variety of interior styles, from Scandi minimalism to classic nursery setups. The neutral tone makes it easy to introduce colourful accessories or soft textiles without clashing. Practical styling tips include pairing it with soft muted or pastel textiles for a calm, serene space, or layering with textured rugs and tactile throws to add warmth. Its simple, clean lines also mean it works equally well in contemporary or traditional interiors, making it a flexible choice for growing families. To keep the look cohesive, consider adding matching or contrasting accessories in natural or muted hues for a balanced, stylish nursery.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
