Description
Silver Birch vase, part of the DAILYWARE Botanical Collection. Helen's drawings take inspiration from the Natural History Museum's botanical watercolour illustrations. Handmade in Staffordshire in fine English Bone China. Helen’s Dailyware pots are slip-cast from moulds of her wheel thrown forms. They are then bisque-fired, glazed and glaze-fired before being decorated with special lithographically printed ceramic decals of her hand-painted illustrations. A third and final firing melts the artwork into the glaze, so that it is tough enough for dishwashers, microwaves and everyday use. Helen: "Living in a big urban city, I like to try and bring as much nature in to my home as possible. This Silver Birch vase is beautiful for flowers or kitchen utensils - we use it for both"
