Description
Silkkikuikka cushion cover 50x50 cm, from Finnish brand Marimekko, is an unbleached cotton cushion cover coloured with natural indigo. The plant-based indigo dye used in this product is first extracted from Finnish woad, and then used to create the cover's pattern during the printing process in Helsinki. In developing this pattern, the designer Maija Isola spent many evenings at Marimekko's printing factory, painting reams and reams of fabric in various patterns to the rhythm of music. In the end, Isola chose the pattern that came to be called Silkkikuikka. This cushion cover's oscillating Silkkikuikka pattern will give a kick to your living room decor. Furthermore, it can easily be mixed with other cushions and throws to create a lovely textile mixture!.
