Description

The Silentnight Middleton Double Divan Bed gives you a place to rest that's built for people who sleep warm. There's a mattress with breathable fibres that help move heat away, keeping things fresher during the night. The zoned Mirapocket springs provide support through different areas of the mattress, working with your body shape. A quilted top with a medium feel sits underneath you when you lie down. It's paired with a mink velvet base that comes with chrome feet. Choose from no storage, two drawers, or four drawers depending on your bedroom needs. The mattress has 800 pocket springs that move independently, so movement on one side doesn't transfer to the other. It's single-sided with no flipping needed, just rotate it regularly to spread wear evenly. The divan base arrives in two pieces for easier handling through doorways and hallways. The chrome feet keep the base raised slightly off the floor, so you can clean underneath without awkward manoeuvring. Made in the UK. Self-assembly recommended with two people. The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
