Description

The Sienna Footstool combines style, comfort, and durability to enhance your living space. Upholstered in a neutral-toned, 100% polyester fabric, it offers a soft yet resilient surface that complements any decor. The frame, constructed from a blend of pine wood, plywood, and hardwood, ensures lasting stability and support. Black steel feet provide a modern touch while maintaining superior strength. The tinted glass top adds a sophisticated, contemporary look, making it both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Perfect for resting your feet or as an accent piece, the Sienna Footstool brings elegance to any room.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of this glass-top Sienna stool for the way its soft neutral upholstery balances the sleek, tinted surface and slender black legs - perfect for living rooms that sit between Scandi minimalism and modern industrial. The neutral hue means it slips easily into grey, cream or muted jewel-tone schemes, while the glass top doubles as a handy coffee-table surface. Styling tip: anchor it on a low-pile rug and add a narrow tray to protect the glass - use it to corral a candle, small vase and a coffee-table book. Tie in the black legs with metal-framed mirrors or light fittings elsewhere in the room, and you’ve got a versatile piece that works as an occasional table, extra seating or footrest.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
