Description

Our Shyrdak design takes inspiration from rug patterns of the same name that were traditionally made by artisans in central Asia. The pattern uses highly contrasting colours to create a positive/negative visual of symbolic motifs. This rug showcases the bold print in an even bolder warm brown hue. It’s hand knotted by skilled artisans over the period of several days, then washed for an aged look that lends each piece individual characteristics.

Our Stylist Says

I love this rug for its versatile earthy tones and intricate pattern, which can add warmth and texture to a variety of interiors. It works particularly well in neutral or minimalist spaces, acting as a statement piece without overwhelming the room. For styling tips, consider pairing it with natural wood furniture or greenery to create a relaxed, cohesive look. It’s practical in living rooms or bedrooms, providing comfort underfoot and a touch of character - just ensure it’s placed on a non-slip pad for safety and to keep it well-positioned. Overall, this piece offers a lovely blend of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary style that's easy to incorporate into both classic and modern schemes.
