Extraordinary treasures can be found along the British coastline. A truly special environment, the shoreline is simply brimming with life both above and below the waves, but with the tide washing twice daily over the shore, it can be an unforgiving place to live. The creatures that reside here must adapt to an ever-changing environment - some have evolved hard outer shells to protect themselves, others such as starfish have developed hundreds of ‘tube feet’ to grip on tightly. From out of reach coastal cliffs and rocky islets teeming with seabirds to the rich and diverse underwater kelp forests that support a variety of marine species, there is incredible wildlife wherever you turn. Through our collection with the Natural History Museum, we want to celebrate the diversity of the UK’s incredible shorelines and highlight some of the threats impacting them and the species that reside there from rising ocean temperatures to acidity levels. © The Trustees of the Natural History Museum, London 2023. I love the Shoreline Seafoam Eyelet Curtain for its calming, ocean-inspired hue and versatile design. It works particularly well in coastal or contemporary interiors, adding a fresh, breezy feel to living rooms or bedrooms. The eyelet style makes for easy hanging and a sleek finish. For styling tips, pair these curtains with neutral or soft-toned furniture, and consider layering with textured cushions or throws in similar shades to create a cohesive look. They also work well in spaces with plenty of natural light, as the light colour ensures your room stays bright and welcoming.
