I’m a big fan of this little white-and-grey shoe bench because it combines seating, hidden storage and a neutral palette that suits most schemes - from Scandinavian simplicity to a light country or coastal hallway. The soft grey cushion adds just enough contrast to keep it from looking too clinical, while the twin drawers keep your footwear out of sight yet easily to hand.
To style it, top with a simple throw cushion or folded woollen blanket in a complementary shade, then hang a round mirror and a set of hooks above for coats and bags. Tuck a woven basket or pair of slim storage boxes inside each drawer to keep trainers, scarves or umbrellas neatly organised.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
