The two front-facing flip-down doors open smoothly to reveal internal shelving in each compartment—each shelf is removable, allowing you to adjust the height to suit different shoe types, from flat shoes to ankle boots. The slatted door design includes a semi-circular cutout for convenient grip and adds a clean, contemporary aesthetic. The generously padded seat cushion is upholstered in durable gray fabric and can be easily removed for cleaning or repositioning. The bench is constructed from high-quality MDF/fiberboard with a smooth white finish, ensuring stability and longevity. It supports up to 90kg and weighs 14.55kg when assembled. Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
