Description

In Chinese tradition, red is the colour of luck; this gives our Shian Vase its name, phonetically adapted from the Chinese word for ‘luck’. Red is the hardest shade to achieve through pottery firing due to the high temperatures required. This process will give each piece its own unique characteristics. The Shian features hand-painted dragons, phoenixes, deer and floral motifs on its ceramic base.

Our Stylist Says

I love this vase for its bold, yet versatile design - the coral hue adds warmth and vibrancy to a space without overwhelming it. It works particularly well in contemporary or eclectic interiors, where it can serve as a statement piece on a mantel, sideboard, or coffee table. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with fresh or dried foliage for a natural touch, or leaving it empty to let its striking pattern and shape be the focal point. Its dual-chamber form makes it ideal for use as a standalone sculpture or with slender stems, adding texture and colour in a subtle yet impactful way.
